Albert produced the radio drama for RSG – “Dirk Ligter”
Albert Maritz has been doing voice overs since his youth. He is now 54. He has done extreme varieties of work. He can do soft-sell, with a smooth, even romantic approach, hard aggressive sell, and character voices, accents, camp, Afrikaans boer, and even music. Albert does opera training when he trains for theatre, so he loves doing mock opera, falsetto, as well as general straight singing.
Albert can read very fast, without it sounding fast, and apart from loving a challenge, he loves the work. He prides himself on the voice he did for Tully Mcully, who had him very close to the mic, with a mock American film trailer – gutteral attack.
Albert is the man in the commercial with the elephant trunk around his neck, but the voice IS NOT HIS!
