Maurice Carpede is a well-known, very popular and respected person in the entertainment industry in South Africa, with a list of achievements that spans over more than a decade.
His career took off in 1996 when he joined a community radio station, Radio Hoogland (now defunct), in Bloemfontein, where he spent about six months before being approached by OFM (Radio Oranje). From late 1996 to early 1998, Maurice made the 22h00 to 01h00 slot on OFM his own, until he was spotted by Jacaranda FM and lured to Gauteng where he worked for close to 15 years. He currently presents the drive time show on South Africa’s fastest growing commercial radio station, Smile 90.4FM
