Thanja van Deventer is a graduate from AFDA with a BA Honours degree in Live Performance. She majored in Screen Acting. In her first 2 years, she took up Television as a discipline, which focused highly on Talk Show hosting. In her 3rd year, she had the opportunity to work with Industry professional,Terry Lloyd Roberts, on commercial voice work which led to her participating in an actual live studio, recording 4 different commercials varying in accent and language. In her final year, she further explored vocal-techniques surrounding accents and had private dialect and accent coaching from Vicki Bawcombe. In her 4 years of acting training she thrived in voice work, especially showcasing the ability to adapt her voice in order to produce an array of accents accompanied with a fresh and contemporary voice.
